Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Orlando, Florida
Isolatek International helped contribute to the success of Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (DEPAC), which is a 330,000-square-foot building. Isolatek Type WB 3 and Isolatek Type WB 4 thin film water-based Intumescent coatings provided the designers the choice to showcase exposed structural steel. The non-exposed structural steel columns and steel beams are protected with ISOLATEK International’s Isolatek Type 300 and Isolatek Type 400.
Nationwide Children’s Behavioral Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Isolatek® Type II HS and Isolatek® Type M-II were applied to this $158 million project, which will be the largest behavioral health treatment research center with a rooftop play area and brand new inpatient and outpatient areas.
National Museum of the United States Army– Washington D.C.
ISOLATEK International’s Isolatek® Type II was applied throughout this structure. With its cement-based formulation and UL “Investigated for Exterior Use” classification, Isolatek Type II demonstrates exceptional resistance to weather exposure during the construction cycle.
A.B. Won Pat International Airport, Tamuning, Guam
The A.B. Won Pat International Airport is a $110 million international arrivals corridor which is the airport’s newest capital improvement project. The international arrivals corridor will add a third level to the existing airport terminal. The new level will be accessible through pods built outside of the existing structure. Isolatek International’s Isolatek® Type II, Isolatek® Type WB 5 & Isolatek® Type WB 4 were applied.
LA Rams Stadium, Los Angeles, California
Isolatek® Type300, Isolatek® Type 400, Isolatek® Type M-II & Isolatek® Type WB 4 were installed at the new LA Rams Stadium in Los Angeles, California. This stadium will be the largest and most expensive stadium ever constructed. Starting as a $2 billion stadium the project is now a $4.25 billion venue. The LA Rams Stadium will host Superbowl LVII.
NIKE Soho – New York, NY
The architectural and design firm of BKSK Architects was awarded the 2017 Design Award of Excellence by the Society of American Registered Architects New York Council for this structure. With the most expansive range of UL Design listings and hourly ratings of any water-based Intumescent Fireproofing, Isolatek® Type WB 5 was the perfect match for this state-of-the-art retail space.
Miyana Tower, CDMX, Mexico
The Miyana Tower will consist of mixed-use housing, office, retail, entertainment and parking. The project responds to market demands, while providing a balance to get the benefits of a master plan with common areas for the coexistence of different groups of the population. The project achieves a real urban center and architectural landmark rather than an isolated project within the city. Protecting the Miyana tower is Isolatek International’s Isolatek® Type 300.
Wilshire Grand Center, Los Angeles, CA, USA
Slated for completion in 2017, the 73 story Wilshire Grand Center will be the tallest building in the Western United States. Isolatek International has been there every step of the way as the single-source provider of Spray-Applied Fireproofing (Isolatek® Type 400 AC/ES,Isolatek® Type M-II) and the Intumescent Fireproofing (Isolatek® Type WB 5).
Apple Campus 2, Cupertino, CA, USA
When designing the impressive Apple Campus 2 located in Cupertino, California, Norman Foster selected Isolatek International’s fireproofing materials to meet the current building code, fire ratings, and for their distinctive physical properties and capabilities. While Isolatek® Type 300 was chosen to protect the skylight/breezeways and entrance ways, the roof deck assembly required materials that could “flex” as the roof modules are craned into place. Isolatek® Type HP was chosen for the underside roof beams and Isolatek® Type CB® for the underside of the roof deck.
WTC Transit Hall & Oculus
Designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and slated for completion in 2015, the WTC Transit Hub will serve over 200,000 commuters daily and millions of global visitors annually. Isolatek International’s intumescent fireproofing Isolatek® Type WB 5 was chosen to protect the Oculus, an engineering achievement consisting of a variety of very ornate and complex built up structural members.
