Isolatek International Applied Fireproofing – Protecting the University of Virginia Hospital


Isolatek International, the world leader in Advancing Passive Fireproofing Technology, has begun supplying its CAFCO® 300 HS and CAFCO 400 Spray-Applied Fireproofing to the University of Virginia with help from American Coatings Corp.

The University of Virginia’s construction is estimated to be approximately 425,000 square feet. The addition will incorporate a new drop off and entries to the Emergency Department. The work will also involve the expansion of the current Emergency Department; surgical services suite and additional ground level spaces. The new development will also include a six-story inpatient tower. The construction is to be completed in 2020.
